Veon Wentzel is an Elsies River born designer, currently residing in Parow in Cape Town. He is the youngest of five children raised in a single parent household. His love for fashion became evident in High School and a Teacher noticed this, leaving a pamphlet for him to attend Technikon on his School desk one day. He immediately signed up and was fortunate to complete two years, before financial constraints forced him to leave his studies.

Veon began making Matric Dance dresses and outfits from his mom’s lounge, and with the discovery of the Art of Drag and creation of his persona, Manila von Teez, the launch of his label, Haus of Vjorn, was imminent.
